Ik ben al ruim een week letterlijk geveld door griep.
Ik moet nog de laatste hand leggen aan het bankkleed: eindjes afhechten en een randje langs de lange kanten.
Dat komt wel.
Maar ik maakte ook al plannen voor een zomerdeken.
Na lang zoeken op internet besloot ik de
retro cirkels deken van Three Beans in a Pod te gaan maken.
Ik ging op zoek naar half katoen - half acryl garen, want ik ben bang dat een 100% katoenen deken vrij zwaar zal zijn.
Ik vond in een webwinkel enkele natuurtinten van Essentials Cotton Soft DK van het Duitse merk Rico: ecru, zand en beige. Toen ik het thuis kreeg zag ik dat die kleuren wel erg veel op elkaar te lijken.
Later vond ik ook nog zacht blauw en grijs.
Zelf had ik nog enkele bolletjes geel en groene Ecola-katoen.
Already more than a week I am bothered by a very nasty flu.
I still have to finish my couch blanket: weaving in yarn ends and adding a small edge along the long sides.
But I already made plans for a summer blanket.
After a long search on internet I decided to make the retro circles blanket by Three Beans in a Pod.
I went looking for half cotton-half acrylic yarn, because I am afraid that a 100% cotton blanket will be rather heavy.
In a web shop I found some nature pastel colors by Essentials Cotton Soft DK from Rico, a German brand: ecru, sand and beige. When they arrived I noticed that the colors look very much the same. Later I found soft blue and grey form the same brand.
I already had green and yellow Ecola-cotton.

Midden boven is ‘zand’, links onder is ‘beige’ en rechts onder komt grijs. (Het grijze Essentials Cotton Soft DK is nog onderweg.)

De foto’s zien er helaas somber uit: het was nog zwaar bewolkt toen ik ze maakte.
The pictures look dull because there were heavy clouds when I made them.
Het Essentials Cotton Soft DK haakt heerlijk! Heel zacht en helemaal niet splijtgevoelig. Vandaar dat ik al meer rondjes haakte dan ik van plan was.
The Essentials Cotton Soft DK is very nice to crochet with. Supersoft and no tendency to splitting. So I made more circles than I intended.
